Turtles, Pizzas & Robots – Movie Review for TMNT

Movie watchers, let’s stop complaining about Michael Bay’s movie versions of our childhood cartoons. I’m not a full out fan of Michael Bay but movies are just movies. We’re here to escape our realities and watch crazy stuff on the big screen. With that in mind, I didn’t have much of an expectation for TMNT. What can you say, they are teenage mutant ninja turtles! Come on now, NINJA TURTLES. I wasn’t looking for Oscar material. I had the same low to no expectations for all the other action movies rolling out this summer. Surprisingly, I liked it.

As a video producer, I felt the camera didn’t have to sway so much during the actions sequences. It was very dizzying, just like all his other movies. You miss a lot, if you have to turn away to regain your barrings. The movie was a little over an hour and half. Very short for today’s standards. Megan Fox portrayed a good April O’Neil. There was plenty of funny parts throughout the movie to keep me laughing, especially with Michelangelo (in the movie referred to as Mikey).

To that end, my final opinion: It was OK

Side joke, this is really Shrek vs Transformers.

Thanks,
