We’re looking forward to getting our hands on the Lumix GH3. The price retails about $1300 for the body, not too shabby compared to what a good camera goes for nowadays. This allows more budget for super crazy lenses! Based on reviews we have seen, it is comparable to the Canon 5D and has exceeded most peoples’ expectations. Most videographers and photographers are usually unwilling to try something different. Especially when the investment into existing equipment leans more towards… the higher thousands of dollars and was most likely accumulated over years. Like the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” But we have seen faithful Canon users convert over to Lumix and only have good things to say about it.
If anyone else cares, here are some of the features:
- Professional HD Video up to 1080/60p in H.264 format
- Sealed magnesium-alloy body helps the camera withstand the rigors of professional use.
- Full Area High-Speed AF System for fast shooting and focus in both still and video modes
- Dual-OLED Displays are used for both the Live View Finder and the rear monitor and feature 100% coverage, exhibits virtually no perceptible lag time and ensures the subject is shown with natural coloring.
